Keep Calm & Teach On

Hi Educators,

We know that you are in the home stretch— working through state testing, wacky scheduling, and all of the end of year tasks. Thankfully, Summer is just around the corner!

EcoHealth Spring programs are wrapping up, but we’re also trying to keep calm and teach on. While we’re closing out the school year with a growth in community science programs, career day, school-wide events, and Coffee with the Principal offerings, we were also responding to an elevated presence of black flies in the SGV foothills.

Due to the recent melting snowpack this past month, foothill communities saw a significant rise in Black Flies. Learn about how we protect public health from Black Flies.

Why are SGV Educators Falling in Love with EcoHealth?

EcoHealth bridges real world phenomenon to the classroom, enhances SGV communities, and protects public health. Our Fall Community Science programs are the perfect connection to real-world science and public health in action.

  • Students learn about mosquito biology
  • Students practice observation and applied scientific thinking
  • Students eliminate mosquito habitats around their homes
  • Students learn life-saving bite prevention strategies

Best of all, we bring all of the materials and the experts.
