National Flirting Week – I want to be the one to fly in the sun
Flying out song: Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Cyndi Lauper
By: Ada Eez, an Aedes mosquito
Hey Aedes Ladies and other mosquito-gals!
It’s the last day of #NationalFlirtingWeek and, after reviewing my own tips, lists, and personal advice, I’ve decided to move on from the conventional mosquito male and trade.
My treasured Aedes Ladies, our existence is bite-sized and our cycle is made up of keeping to local stagnant sources, biting easy blood-meals (humans, no duh!) who don’t wear repellent, and meeting the same dull mosquito male …
I have realized that we, Aedes Ladies, are made for bigger and better things, like spreading our love and diseases. We are too beautiful to be hidden from the world, so “when [this] working day is done, oh girls, they wanna have fun.”
Follow me, fellow Aedes, and we can give a bug (get it?), one bite at a time.
